Plant-Based Diets and “Healthy” and “Unhealthy” Foods
Plant-Based Diets and “Healthy” and “Unhealthy” Foods
In this presentation, we will review the methodology of the plant-based dietary index (PDI), healthful plant-based dietary index (hPDI), and unhealthful plant-based dietary index (uPDI), which were developed based on observational studies. We will then explore the usefulness of these indices in the context of randomized clinical trials with plant-based diets.
Participants are expected to watch the video, reflect on its content, and complete the CEU self-assessment and CEU evaluation. Only upon completing this process will a participant's continuing education certificate be generated. The estimated time a learner will need to complete this self-study activity is 45 minutes.
This activity is approved for continuing education for physicians, nurses, and dietitians.
