Objectives:
1.    To review the evidence from randomized clinical trials for the use of plant-based diets for weight loss.
2.    To compare the effects of plant-based diets to the Mediterranean diet.
3.    To explain the pathophysiological mechanisms for the use of plant-based diets for weight management.

Requirements for successful completion: Participants will be awarded contact hours commensurate with participation after completion of the post-test with a score of 70% or higher.
