Learn the adequacy and safety of plant-exclusive diets for children at various stages of growth and how to avoid nutrition shortfalls.

Objectives:

  • Describe at least two findings from the VeChi studies on toddlers and children. 
  • List four key concepts associated with ensuring nutritional adequacy for children.
  • Identify the recommended increases in protein for children eating plant-exclusive, whole food diets.

Requirements for successful completion: Participants will be awarded contact hours commensurate with participation after completion of the post-test with a score of 70% or higher.
