Objectives:

  • Describe how a whole food plant-based nutrition program can show improvement in patient lab results, biometrics, and satisfaction. 
  • Describe the effects of a nutritional intervention on the pathophysiologic mechanisms of cardiovascular disease.
  • Identify the main functions of a registered dietitian in outpatient practice.

  • List ways to physicians and dietitians can work together to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements for successful completion: Participants will be awarded contact hours commensurate with participation after completion of the post-test with a score of 70% or higher.
