What is the Role of Ultra-Processed Plant-Based Products in the Diet?
This presentation outlines the concerns related to ultra-processed food (UPF) consumption breaking down processed foods into more specific categories. The association between UPF consumption is driven largely by sweetened beverages and processed meats. Plant-based meat alternatives, even though they are considered processed foods, can lead to health benefits when replacing animal products.
Participants are expected to watch the video, reflect on its content, and complete the CEU self-assessment and CEU evaluation. Only upon completing this process will a participant's continuing education certificate be generated. The estimated time a learner will need to complete this self-study activity is 60 minutes.
This activity is approved for continuing education for physicians, nurses, and dietitians.
