This presentation explores the unique nutritional challenges and health trends within Latin American communities, examining how cultural food practices, socioeconomic factors, and access to healthcare impact diet and well-being.
Participants are expected to watch the video, reflect on its content, and complete the CEU self-assessment and CEU evaluation. Only upon completing this process will a participant's continuing education certificate be generated. The estimated time a learner will need to complete this self-study activity is 60 minutes.

Objectives:
- Identify the agrarian food patterns in Latin America before the U.S. political and economic interventions of the last 100 years.
- Describe the adverse health consequences of being flooded with industrialized and animal-rich foods over the past century.
- Describe and demonstrate how to prepare healthy plant-based recipes with key foods that are appealing to the Latino community.
Requirements for successful completion: Participants will be awarded contact hours commensurate with participation after completion of the post-test with a score of 70% or higher.
