  1. Understand the adverse health consequences associated with excess sodium intake and inadequate potassium intake.
  2. Understand the public health costs associated with excessive sodium consumption.
  3. Identify common sources of sodium in the diet.
  4. Learn how to read food labels and identify the quantity of sodium in common foods.

Requirements for successful completion: Participants will be awarded contact hours commensurate with participation after completion of the post-test with a score of 70% or higher.
