Learning objectives:

  • Describe the role of inflammation in the development of heart disease.
  • Identify the clinical concept of “residual inflammatory risk”.
  • State how targeting inflammation may provide a novel pathway to treat atherosclerosis, beyond lowering cholesterol.

Requirements for successful completion: Participants will be awarded contact hours commensurate with participation after completion of the post-test with a score of 70% or higher.
