  • Describe the difference in risk factors and prevalence of chronic disease in vegetarians and vegans compared to non-vegetarians. 
  • Discuss how plant-based eating patterns reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.  
  • Provide useful dietary information or resources to a patient with or at risk for diabetes.

Requirements for successful completion: Participants will be awarded contact hours commensurate with participation after completion of the post-test with a score of 70% or higher.
