Simple Steps to CME Success

Obtaining your continuing education credits is simple:

1. Select a text-based or webcast module.

2. Study the course content.

3. Complete the online evaluation and quiz.

4. You will receive a certificate that will also be stored in your webtracker for

    easy reference and retrieval.

 

Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physicians: The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences designates this live activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) ™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Registered Dietitians and Registered Dietitian Technicians: The CPEUs for successful completion of the self-study programs are approved by The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, which is an accredited provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Nurses: Only 30 courses are acceptable for nurses: the brain health courses (17) and the diabetes courses (13). This continuing education activity was approved by the Virginia Nurses Association, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Registered nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Certified Diabetes Educators: To satisfy the requirement for renewal of certification by continuing education for the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE), continuing education activities must be applicable to diabetes and approved by a provider on the NCBDE List of Recognized Providers (www.NCBDE.org). NCBDE does not approve continuing education. The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences is accredited/approved by the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education (CME) and the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) which are on the list of NCBDE Recognized Providers.
